The winner of Glamorinky Friday #13 will be announced on Monday November 13, which just so happens to be my birthday! The gorgeous and expensive gemstones shown above were an early present from my husband. I was tempted to use them all to make myself something outrageous, but the moment I saw them I knew what they wanted to be (and I've already sold a few!). You all have to wait until Monday to see!For this week's Glamorinky fun your game is to guess the name of my birthday gems. The photo has been enlarged to show detail - the actual size of each faceted coin-shaped bead is approximately 8-10mm.
The stone is naturally occurring, but the iridescent finish is not.
There are two words in the answer.
Players have from Friday November 10, 2006 until midnight Eastern Standard Time on Sunday November 12, 2006 to participate by clicking on the word “comment” at the bottom of this post. Instead of running my usual open game where everyone's guesses are visible, I am going to keep all of the answers hidden over the weekend, then publish them once the game is over. After you submit your answer look at the top of the page - if you have successfully posted it will read, "Your comment has been saved and will be visible after blog owner approval".
On Monday November 13th I will draw a name to receive a prize made with one or more of the beads shown above. I do not notify winners, you must come back to this blog to see if you won.
