By GLAMOROSI

We recently reported that Philly food entrepreneur Tony Luke Jr. had signed on as a judge for SPIKE TV's upcoming competitive cooking show Frankenfood that will be hosted by Chef Josh Capon. Now we've received a casting notice that the show's producers at Sharp Entertainment are looking for contestants; everyone from experienced chefs to home cooks are welcome to apply, and one lucky person on each episode will win $10,000.

The casting notice reads, "SPIKE is looking for food lovers across America with EXTREME food creations to compete in an exciting new food competition show. Whether you bake, grill or fry, now is your big chance to win a cash prize and possibly get your dish featured on a restaurant menu."

Frankenfood is calling for cooks who can put together interesting food combinations - they list examples like Deviled Egg Stuffed Potatoes, Seven Layer Pancake Lasagna, and Yolk-Topped Sloppy Joe Beignets. But, make no mistake, "This is not a gross-out food show. Nor is it a fancy cooking show. We're looking for REAL food dishes that pack a punch."

To apply to be on Frankenfood, send your name, address, photo of you and your dish, a brief description of yourself and how you created your dish to FFood@SharpEntertainment.com. We've been told that casting is moving fast, so don't delay.

UPDATE 11/15: The Philadelphia, PA open call auditions for Frankenfood will be held on November 24, 2013, from 10 AM to 5 PM at The Windsor Suites, 1700 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.
