Chef Luke Palladino is already famous for Italian restaurants at several casinos in Atlantic City, NJ, a steakhouse in Northfield, NJ, and a still-new eatery in South Philadelphia, Palladino's on Passyunk. On July 14, Palladino announced another project: just like George Washington did when he was still a general, the chef is moving into the Valley Forge, PA area. Only for Palladino, it is a steakhouse – LP Steak – that brings him to Pennsylvania's Valley Forge Casino Resort starting in October, with another as-yet-unnamed concept to follow soon after.

The Valley Forge Casino Resort has had some excitement of late with Spring 2015's re-launch of its famed concert venue, the Valley Forge Music Fair, and the recent opening of the Valley Beach Poolside Club. Palladino's LP Steak is a real feather in the casino's cap: its 4,400-square-foot space will seat up to 205 people in the main dining room, and there will be two private dining rooms and a main bar and lounge area. The menu will feature the chef's usual array of bold beef cuts, chops, veal and seafood.

“Over the years, my regulars have been asking me more and more for big steaks,” said Palladino in a prepared statement. “I’ve always wanted to have a restaurant concept where I could give them center stage in a non-Italian format. Valley Forge Casino Resort is the perfect place to do this on a larger scale. I look forward to opening in the fall, as well as announcing other projects at the resort. Stay tuned.”
