For the sixth Glamorinky guessing game your task was to figure out what the rose beads pictured here are made of. The clue was: “Everything isn’t always what it seems, expert workmanship hides the seams.” Although the beads may look or seem like stone or glass, they are actually vintage molded Lucite, and are so well done there are no tell-tale seams. I don’t see them as a replacement for the real thing, but they’re light and fun to work with, and lighthearted and funky to wear.
These uncirculated vintage beads are part of the Glamorosi Spring ’07 collection, but today’s winner gets them early. I put all of the correct Lucite/plastic/resin/etc. guesses in a fedora, and the winner of Glamorinky #6 is GREENSTHINGS! Your prize is one pair of fantastic Lucite rose and vermeil earrings!
Congratulations! Drop me a line and I’ll send your prize!
