CeCe Frey comforts Beatrice Miller on The X Factor |
On season 2, episode 19 of The X Factor, we find out which two of the singing competition’s Top 10 contestants will be eliminated, and who will be moving on to the Top 8 and remain in the running for the 5 million dollar recording contract. We also see a performance by Cher Lloyd and rapper Becky G.
The show opens with co-hosts Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez. She is wearing a matte black dress with shiny polkadots, Maria Lopez is in black and charcoal.
We see a video recap of the Top 10 performances and judge’s critiques, and also some of the backstage action. Then there is a segment in which Best Buy outfits The Bancroft Middle School in Los Angeles, California, with a new music room, and the choir from that school sings Coldplays’s “Fix You” live onstage with the X Factor contestants.

Cher Lloyd and rapper Becky G. take the stage and do their new single “Oath”.
Next, Khloe and Mario introduce the judges and their remaining contestants: Britney Spears and her Teens (Carly Rose Sonenclar, Beatrice Miller and Diamond White), L.A. Reid and his Over 25s (Tate Stevens and Vino Alan), Demi Lovato and her Young Adults (CeCe Frey and Paige Thomas) and Simon Cowell and his Groups (Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony).
We find which performers are safe and moving on to the Top 8: Diamond White, Vino Alan, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Fifth Harmony, Tate Stevens, Paige Thomas, and Emblem3. The bottom two contestants who will be singing for their survival are Beatrice Miller and CeCe Frey.
CeCe Frey does a pitchy rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You”, Beatrice Miller does an emotional cover of Dido's "White Flag". As they wait to hear the judge's votes, CeCe Frey hugs Beatrice Miller.
Predictably, Demi votes to send Beatrice home, and Britney votes to send CeCe home. L.A. votes for Beatrice Miller to be cut, and then it’s Simon’s turn. He tells Beatrice, “I liked you from the beginning but I think this is all getting too much for you." Then Simon says, "CeCe, you've been in the bottom a lot. Beatrice, I don't think this is the right time for you right now,” and he votes to send Beatrice home. The young singer is grief-stricken; it is truly one of the saddest eliminations I have ever seen on any show.
Then the leader-board stats are announced, and we discover that Carly Rose Sonenclar has replaced Tate Stevens in the number one position, and also that there is less than a half percent between 3rd and 4th place.
