Today (July 31, 2012)
Paranoia is filming at 10th and Carpenter in South Philly's Bardascino Park (it'll be "Old Library Park" in the film). Liam Hemsworth (outfitted in a slim suit) and Richard Dreyfuss are doing scenes sitting on a bench while extras - some children, some adults - run, play, and walk by while talking on cell phones, making it look like just another day in the park. Filming appeared to stop briefly when a loud helicopter hovered over the area. Some wondered if the chopper was part of the scene; a policeman said it caused an unexpected delay.
10th Street is closed to cars from Christian Street to Washington Avenue, and while they are filming foot traffic is being directed to walk around to 9th or 11th unless you live on the block.
