Rolling Out Magazine and CVS held their first Mirror Mirror Beauty Awards in Atlanta, GA. The event, held to honor leaders in the beauty and fashion industry, feted a host of trendsetters including TV reality stars Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Derek J, Chilli, T.I. and Tiny.

Although viewers now know them from TV shows like Bravo's
Real Housewives of Atlanta (aka
RHOA
), the Mirror Mirror award winners had achieved fame and fortune long before the advent of unscripted television: Cynthia Bailey (BRAVO/RHOA) is an international supermodel, Kandi Burruss (BRAVO
/RHOA) is a Grammy Award winning songwriter, Chilli (VHI/
What Chilli Wants) was one-third of the Grammy winning R&B/hip-hop group TLC, T.I. and Tiny (VH1/
The Family Hustle) are both Grammy winners, and Derek J (BRAVO
/RHOA) made his mark as a celebrity hair stylist.

The awards ceremony was held in Atlanta’s Indigo Bar with DJ Tracy
Steele (HOT 107.9) curating the music for the evening's festivities. Photos from the event show the award winners dressed in fashions that were both casual and elegant: Cynthia Bailey was chic in slacks, a cute top with a Peter Pan collar, and a pulled back ponytail. Chilli was stunning in a black frock with open shoulders, understated jewelry and hair worn long and straight. Although most of the attendees wore dark hues, there were pops of print and color with jackets in leopard, turquoise and coral, and Derek J stood out in a cream-colored ensemble with an embellished top and pointy-toed heels. Both he and Kandi Burruss carried studded leather bags.
Atlanta was the first stop for the Mirror Mirror Awards; the show is currently on a 13-city tour. The next location for the
Rolling Out Magazine and CVS-sponsored ceremony will be Washington, D.C. For more information visit
