One Direction's Take Me Home will be released on November 13

In recent years early leaks of high-profile products and artistic endeavors have become so prevalent that many consumers are skeptical that they are in fact leaks, and not just marketing ploys. In the case of the British-Irish boy band One Direction, they are globally popular with tweens so it seems unlikely they would need the extra buzz, but who knows. The important thing for One Direction fans is that the single and video for "Live While We’re Young" was released a few days early to radio and on video (on September 20) due to an “unauthorized, poor quality version” that was leaked online. The song will be released digitally in the United States on October 1.

"Live While We’re Young" is the first single from Take Me Home (Syco/Columbia Records), One Direction’s second album that is scheduled for release on November 13. Due to the massive amount of pre-orders, the record hit #1 in over 50 countries within hours of going on sale. On November 13 and 14, One Direction will perform outdoor shows at NBC’s Today Show plaza; they’ll be doing tracks from the new record, as well as hits from their debut album, Up All Night.

One Direction is a five-member band (Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson) formed in 2010 during the 7th season of the British X Factor singing contest when they were told by judges that they didn't make the cut as solo contestants, but were then offered the opportunity to come back as a group. One Direction (often referred to as "1D") placed third in the competition, and subsequently signed with Simon Cowell's Syco label and Columbia Records. They have a huge, worldwide following and they generate millions with their albums, concerts, merchandising and endorsement deals.
