On week 4 of Dancing with the Stars (DWTS), each contestant performed a routine telling the story of the Best Year of Their Life. Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman took the top spot on the leaderboard with a score of 27; Boxer Victor Ortiz and Real Housewife of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump tied at the bottom with scores of 18. On last night's results show, the judges scores were combined with the public’s votes, and Vanderpump and her partner Gleb Savchenko were eliminated.
Throughout the course of the evening, hosts Tom Bergeron and Brook Burke-Charvet (in a stunning black dress with a cool neckline) announce the results. Some couples get the good news that they have made it through to the next week: gymnast Alexandra "Aly" Raisman and Mark Ballas; Disney star Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy; country singer Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough; actor Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson; Superbowl champion Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff; The Bachelor's Star Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd; comedian D.L. Hughley and Cheryl Burke; actor Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess.
The bottom two couples who are in jeopardy of going home are Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko, and Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold.
During the results show we see several performances. Judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli select Aly and Derek to do an encore of their contemporary routine. Brad Paisley does his new hit single, “Southern Comfort Zone”. Derek Hough and Brilynn Rakes, a 17-year-old young woman who is legally blind, do a beautiful dance; afterward Derek is so moved he can barely speak. Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Lopez sing their outstanding duet, "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas" – it’s on Bocelli's new album Passione. They are accompanied by David Foster.
Finally, Tom Bergeron cues the dramatic music, then announces that it is Lisa Vanderpump who is eliminated.
Next week on DWTS, the couples will do side-by-side challenges.
