Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill may be busy in the studio recording his second album and playing shows with pal and label boss, Rick Ross, but this schedule won’t stop him from giving back. This week, Mill is in Philly hosting his first annual "A Dreamchaser’s Thanksgiving," November 26 and November 27. "I’m blessed to be in a position where I can make sure that as many people as possible have a meal on Thanksgiving, so that they can be with their loved ones to enjoy the holiday," says Mill in a press statement.

Rapper and reality star T.I. made an appearance this past Wednesday at Philadelphia’s Sigma Sound Studios for an “album playback experience” for his new CD, Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head. The event was a coming-out party of sorts for Tip; he was released from an Arkansas prison in September and laid low while finishing Trouble Man. Wednesday’s event was just another bash in a busy week for Sigma; Meek Mill and Miley Cyrus also worked in the studio.

Philadelphia’s Meek Mill has been a hip hop fixture for so long with his independent Dreamchaser mix tape series and his affiliation with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music, it’s hard to believe that he hasn’t released an actual album. All that changes though on October 30 when Mill drops his debut album Dreams and Nightmares  (Maybach/Warner Brothers) with a slew of top tier guests such as Drake, Ross, Nas, John Legend, Mary J. Blige and Trey Songz.

The first Made in America Festival – a success courtesy of host and curator Jay-Z, Live Nation and Budweiser – featured grassy grounds, rows of food trucks, scores of special interest tents, and live music from every angle.
